How 'Just in Time' Tough Conversations Coaching Works for Teams

Avoiding Tough Conversations is horrendously expensive: more conflict, unhappy teams, missed opportunities, disengaged employees. And ultimately key staff quitting, or even worse – sabotaging performance.

My super power is in role-playing tough conversations, so your team member can powerfully and confidently have the conversation, generating a positive outcome.

But they don’t practice the conversation with me. I switch it, and role-play the team member who’s bringing the Tough Conversation. For example, if you need to tell your CEO she’s got the wrong strategy, I’ll be YOU, you’ll be the CEO, and you’ll give me as hard a time as you like, saying all the things you’re worried your CEO might say. And you’ll get to see a completely new way to have the conversation.

IMAGINE IF:

  • Opportunity Identification: every time an employee has a problem with another employee, they get 15 minutes with me to translate the problem into a Tough Conversation ready to happen
  • Courage to Act: every time an employee is hesitating on having a TC, they role play it with me, making it less scary or awkward, and gaining the confidence and courage to actually have the conversation now vs postponing it indefinitely.
  • Converse with Skill: every time an employee is about to have a TC, they role play it with me to increase the chances of having it artfully and powerfully for a positive outcome, and reduce the chances of it being a train wreck.

Pricing: we’ll work out a monthly retainer that depends on the size of your team, giving your team up to X x 15 minute laser sessions in a month.

Engagement: Included is a monthly zoom call to introduce this resource, then teach skills, share wins, and keep your team engaged.
Your team will subscribe to an Engagement Series of emails, created by me, which will motivate and remind them to use this new resource.

Just in Time: They click on a calendar link to book the soonest available time slot, ideally just when they need it (vs waiting a week for a regular session with their coach).

Recording: They get a confidential recording so they can re-watch, write out a script for their conversation if they like, and if they are feeling brave, even share it with the team as a community resource.

Tracking ROI: I will track the following metrics so we can gauge ROI:

  • Number of problems turned into “tough conversations with a positive outcome”
  • The estimated INCREASE in NUMBER of tough conversations that happen
  • The average IMPROVEMENT in CONFIDENCE AND SKILLS to have the conversation powerfully
